Ultimate Coverage Koi
We've only had koi angelfish in our hatchery for about ten years, but after buying and matching up a number of exceptional Koi breeding pairs from four of the best lines we've been able to find I think the results are paying off. We don't believe "red" is a good descriptor of the koi, so we don't advertise them as "red", because they are really orange, not red. Other terms we find more appropriate, like "high-coverage", but then people don't often specify what type of coverage is "high". We're trying to take our Koi in a specific direction -- to have little black marbling and little white body area, and to try to have the orange coverage be bright, deep, and extend into all the fins -- our Ultimate Coverage. We are certainly on the right track. Please be aware, that not every koi will have the coverage the example picture has, but given the genetics of these lines, all fish have exceptional potential. Also, as with any other koi angelfish, development of the color intensity depends on keeping the fish in unstressed and uncrowded conditions and feeding a high quality variety of foods. Flash in the example photo actually washed out the color slightly. We promise healthy, vigorous angelfish with excellent conformation. We cull agressively to avoid bent fins, gill plate problems, etc.
We stand behind the affordability and health of our angelfish. Angelfish are approximately (+/-) dime-nickel size, they are 5-8 weeks old. Freshwater angelfish. Disease-free. Live arrival guaranteed. We highly recommend use of our Micro Pearls food and our Miracle Mini Bites food for our angelfish, as it is what they are used to eating.
